MONO — One Block, Nothing Else
Most furniture is assembled. The MONO is revealed — carved from one block of timber into a continuous twist, so the grain flows unbroken from the top surface through the turn and into the base. Every piece is cut from a different part of the tree, which means no two MONOs share the same figuring. Yours is the only one exactly like it.
What a Solid Wood Side Table Really Means
“Solid wood” gets printed on a lot of labels it doesn’t deserve — frames of real timber wrapped around particleboard panels, or thin veneer over engineered cores. The MONO leaves no room for fine print: it is one kiln-dried mass of timber, entirely, with no joints to loosen, no fasteners to rattle and no layers to peel. A solid wood side table built as a single piece has nothing on it that can fail.
At 46cm tall it earns its keep anywhere: beside the sofa holding coffee and remotes, under a window as a plant pedestal, in a hallway as pure sculpture — or beside a low platform bed, where its height lands right at mattress level and a standard nightstand would tower.
