After two decades of deliveries across Malaysia, we’ve seen our benches end up in far more places than gardens. Here’s where they actually go — and what works.

Most of our benches live on their own — a reading spot, a shoe bench, a poolside perch — so choose by the space, allowing about 60 cm of depth plus legroom in front. Pairing one with an outdoor dining table? Pick a bench 30–40 cm shorter than the tabletop so it tucks in cleanly.

Ordinary steel screws rust outdoors — and on teak they leave permanent black tannin stains bleeding from every joint. Every Teakia bench uses outdoor-grade stainless steel hardware, so there’s nothing to rust, stain or weaken, season after season.

The timber’s natural oils resist rain, rot and termites — the reason teak benches in public parks stay outdoors for generations. Left alone it weathers to a silver-grey; a light sand and teak oil brings the golden tone back whenever you like.
Cushions are available as an optional add-on if you want a softer, lounge feel — just remember that in Malaysian weather, cushions left out in the rain need drying or storing. The bench itself never does. Ask us about cushion options when you enquire.
Take a seat, check the hardware, and picture the size in your own space — at our Shah Alam showroom. Or reach us by WhatsApp or email first — whichever is easier for you.
