There is no coating to fail either. We finish the bench by sanding it smooth and stopping there. Cheaper “teak” furniture gets a thick lacquer to disguise inferior wood underneath, and that coating is exactly what blisters and peels in the sun. Product care

There is almost nothing to it. Wipe or dust the bench when it needs it, deal with spills as they happen, and let the teak handle its own weatherproofing — no oiling or sealing required.

Because the OREGON teak outdoor bench 120cm is solid teak throughout, a knock or scratch from keys, a watch or a dragged planter sands out in minutes rather than becoming permanent. That is a repair laminate and veneer can never offer.

If it greys and you would prefer the gold back, a light hand-sand with 120-to-240 grit paper brings the warm tone up again, and nothing needs to be applied over it. Keep it out of the harshest direct sun if you want that honey tone to deepen evenly, and that is the entire maintenance routine.
